We are settling in at home nicely. It's been such a joy to have her home. Mommy and Daddy are figuring out a routine and Mommy is getting organized with a daily agenda. Allie has been the boss with Mommy and Daddy. We are slowly figuring out why parents of little ones have to shovel in their dinner or take turns eating/cooking/doing chores! Allie also has us on her schedule for eating. We have only had one rough night so far (knock on wood). Otherwise, Allie can generally go up to 4 hours between feedings during the night.
Allie had her first 'well visit' at the doctor's office last Thursday. She weighed in at 4lbs 13oz and was 17.5 inches long. The doctor was happy with her weight gain as were Mommy and Daddy. We think she is over 5 pounds by now. The doctor spent a lot of time talking to us and then checked Allie out. Allie decided to strike a cute pose in front of the mirror but Mommy left her camera at home!
Grandma Diann came down last week, which was a big help to Mommy! She made dinners, helped with laundry, and helped Mommy take care of Allie. Mommy and Daddy can't thank her enough for her help and chicken noodle soup :).
Auntie Abbe, cousin Lincoln, and cousin Isaac paid Allie a visit last weekend. It was so fun to see them and enjoyed having them here for a few hours. Allie got to meet her cousins and didn't mind them wrestling on the floor while she slept. Additionally, Papa Dave and Grandma Diann came for a nice visit. Papa Dave enjoyed holding Allie for a few hours...she loved snuggling with him!
This week, Mommy and Allie have been enjoying their time together while Daddy is at work. The weather has been so nice that we have gone on a few walks, which Allie seems to love because she falls asleep after we are about a block into the walk. Hopefully the weather continues to be nice so that we can enjoy a few more walks together.

Best picture - last one cuz she's all pink and cute and girly and precious. Worst picture - it's a toss up: Andy's crazy Heisman pose using his poor, defenseless daughter as a prop, OR Andy's twisted sick expression of enjoyment making poor Allie wear that stinky hat. Poor girl. Um, and Lynsy? You should know that "while Andy is at work" is more like "while Andy sits at his desk pretending to work." Nah, I'm being too hard on him. He did kill a fly for me this week.
