The Harrigan Family: Allie is 5 Months Old!

Allie turned five months old this past Friday, February 11^th. Mommy and Daddy can’t believe how much she has grown and changed in the past few months. She now weighs 12.5 pounds and is 23.5 inches long.

Allie got to meet her new baby cousin, Ella Elizabeth, in mid January. Ella is so precious and beautiful. We are excited that they have each other to play with, laugh with, and become best friends. It will be fun watching them grow up together!

Allie also officially started daycare in February. She was only there a few days when she came down with the stomach flu so we had her out of daycare for a little while. She was happy through her bout with the flu as she would always be smiling at us and had lots of energy to play. We think Allie really enjoys daycare and playing with the other babies. Allie didn’t really take naps her first few days at daycare as she was too busy looking around at everything...she is a very curious little girl! Now that she has settled in a little, she is back to herself with taking good naps.

We love this stage of Allie’s development…She has started to develop a personality where she loves to giggle and smile at her mommy and daddy (melts our hearts)! She is also constantly rolling over from back to tummy and tummy to back. Allie ‘scooches’ herself around on the floor now when on her tummy and she actually enjoys tummy time if she has some toys to play with. She has been eating her hands for quite awhile now, but currently she has begun to put everything in her mouth…from her favorite rattle or doll to her ISU pom poms! Allie has also been sitting in her big girl high chair and her bumbo.

We have been trying hard to get her to smile for the camera! We usually come close but then she decides to move! I think we were able to capture a few pictures of her contagious grin.
